Ableton Live Template: Orchestral Tools Berlin Free Orchestra

Starting out your composing journey has never been easier thanks to a selection of free, professional libraries available on the market nowadays. If you've decided to try out Berlin Free Orchestra, this template has you covered and provides the perfect entry-point to composing in Ableton Live 12!

This is a template for use with the entire Berlin Free Orchestra by Orchestral Tools, utilizing its keyswitch instrument patches where applicable. All 34 available instruments are assigned to their own MIDI tracks, ready for recording with the click of a button, and sorted into their respective instrument groups, which also act as your section stems. All you need to do is load it up in Live 12, select a track and start composing.

While the default template version has several Kontakt instances set up, a version for Vienna Ensemble Pro users and a VEP7 server project are also included, offering a fast way of switching between projects and managing your loaded libraries in one place.

To provide you with a super easy way to control and record your keyswitches - and see instrument ranges at a glance - each MIDI track has an fully configured instance of Articulate (available separately, not required) assigned.

Requirements:

• This template has been created for use with Ableton Live 12.
• SINE Player and the newest version of Berlin Free Orchestra have to be installed on your PC or server.
• If you wish to use the VEP7 version of the template, either on a server or the same PC, you'll need Vienna Ensemble Pro 7.
• Both the default and the VEP7 version of the template require VST3 versions of the plugins.
• If you wish to use Articulate keyswitches, the Articulate Max for Live device is required.
• Berlin Free Orchestra requirements apply.
• For working with the entire template and all included articulations your PC should have 16 GB RAM.
